Backend Engineer

**About the Role** StaffingAbroad is seeking a **Principal Backend Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer** to join a **\#1 US\-based FinTech \& Crypto company** . This role is ideal for a highly skilled backend developer who excels in **C\#/.NET** and has a strong focus on **writing maintainable, scalable, and secure code** . You will play a key role in shaping architecture, ensuring system performance, and embedding best practices while working in a fast\-paced and innovative environment. This is a **100% remote, full\-time role** Salary $5\.000USD to $7\.000 USD **What You Will Do** * **Develop and Maintain Applications** : Build, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable backend services using C\#/.NET and integrate with APIs like Plaid, Dwolla, and Treasury Prime. * **Shape System Architecture** : Contribute to system design, ensuring performance, scalability, and security across FinTech applications. * **Write Quality Code** : Implement and test maintainable, well\-documented code, with a focus on automation and software best practices. * **Support Production Systems** : Monitor and troubleshoot production applications to ensure high availability and quick issue resolution. * **Collaborate Across Teams** : Work closely with front\-end, QA, product, and IT teams, while mentoring junior engineers. * **Focus on Security and Compliance** : Embed security best practices and maintain compliance with FinTech regulations. **What You Will Need** * **Strong Technical Expertise** : * Solid foundation in design patterns, software development best practices, and principles like SOLID and Clean Code. * Proficiency in C\#/.NET, ASP.NET MVC/WebAPI, and Object\-Relational Mappers (ORMs). * Strong understanding of MSSQL database design and optimization. * Familiarity with asynchronous microservices architecture and distributed systems. * Experience with modern front\-end and server\-side technologies such as Node.js and React. * **Commitment to Software Quality** : * Hands\-on experience with unit testing, mocking, integration testing, and ensuring code coverage. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps. * Proficient in version control systems, especially Git. * **Experience and Education** : * 6\+ years of back\-end software development experience. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred). * **Collaboration and Communication** : * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders. * Enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative, dynamic team environment. * **Cultural Fit** : * Passion for innovation, accountability, and teamwork. * Alignment with a culture that prioritizes excellence in FinTech and Crypto solutions. **Plusses Include** * Experience with **iDesign architecture methodology** . * Familiarity with **cloud platforms** such as Azure, including their tools and services.
