### **Backend Engineer (Python / Go / Kafka)** **Location:** Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Brazil, Chile, or Guatemala **Contract Type:** * **Brazil and Argentina:** FTE or EOR * **Mexico, Panama, Chile, Guatemala:** Contractor or Subcontractor **Start Date:** ASAP (within 30 days) + **Engagement Length:** * **FTE/EOR:** up to 18 months * **Contractor/Subcontractor:** up to 12 months ### **About the Role** We are looking for a highly skilled **Backend Engineer** to join the **Campaign Management** team. This team is responsible for improving and expanding the core functionality that powers large\-scale advertising and campaign management systems. You will work in a challenging technical environment, developing scalable systems that support millions of daily users, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and code quality. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Design and maintain scalable backend services that power the advertising stack. * Develop and optimize systems using **Python**, **Go**, and **Kafka**. * Architect and maintain APIs and data models used across multiple teams. * Ensure high availability (99\.9%\+) for large\-scale systems. * Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and operational tools. * Contribute to the evolution of internal infrastructure and developer tooling. ### **Requirements** * **5\+ years** of experience building backend systems in production environments. * Strong expertise in **Python** and/or **Go**. * Experience with **Kafka**, **distributed databases**, and **API design**. * Hands\-on experience with **cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)** and **infrastructure as code**. * Solid understanding of **microservices** and **service\-oriented architectures (SOA)**. * Experience with **monitoring, logging, alerting, and debugging**. * Commitment to **code quality**, **testing frameworks**, and **developer productivity tools**. **Nice to have:** * Previous experience in **AdTech** or developer platform environments. ### **Hiring Process** * **Automated technical test** * **Initial 15\-min interview** * **Client interviews (3 to 5 rounds)** ### **Why Apply** * Opportunity to work on **large\-scale B2C products (10M\+ daily users)**. * High\-level technical environment focused on **product engineering excellence**. * **Fully remote, international project.**
