Senior Test Engineer

QAT Global, a US\-based IT consulting firm with over 30 years of experience, is looking for a **Senior Test Engineer** to join our growing team. This is a full\-time, remote position ( **CLT hire in Brazil only** ), offering the opportunity to collaborate directly with our US\-based client and international development teams. **About the Role:** As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and API\-based applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and cross\-functional teams to design and execute test strategies that support modern engineering practices and high\-quality software delivery. This role is ideal for someone with strong automation expertise, a deep understanding of quality engineering, and the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed Agile teams. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using **Selenium WebDriver** . * Create and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs, including validation of headers, payloads, and data structures. * Develop and support test frameworks using **Java** , **Cucumber** , and **Maven** . * Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines within **Jenkins** , integrating version control and build tools. * Validate data integrity through SQL queries and support backend testing. * Troubleshoot issues by analyzing logs, debugging test failures, and collaborating closely with development teams. * Work with JIRA for requirement management and defect tracking, and Confluence for documentation. * Participate in Agile ceremonies, collaborate across global teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Qualifications:** * **Strong experience** with **Selenium** , including locators, waits, and driver configuration. * **Strong experience** in REST API testing, including JSON/XML validation, HTTP verbs, Postman, and Swagger. * **Good experience** with **Java** , including control structures, exception handling, and database queries. * **Solid understanding** of SQL, including DML, joins, and basic schema definitions. * **Good experience** with **Jenkins** , including job configuration and integrating Git/SVN and Maven. * **Hands\-on experience** with **Cucumber** , including writing feature files and step definitions. * **Excellent communication skills in English** and ability to work with distributed teams. * Strong understanding of software testing best practices, debugging techniques, and problem\-solving. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. **Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):** * Experience with Allure reporting. * Background in test strategy definition or QA process improvements. * Exposure to DevOps practices or willingness to learn. * Experience in highly collaborative, fast\-paced environments.
