Backend Engineer Lead

You’ll join a high\-impact team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core services that power our global financial ecosystem. Your work will be instrumental in supporting high\-volume, real\-time transactions across multiple regions. This is a hands\-on position that requires strong technical expertise, problem\-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast\-paced and constantly evolving environment. You will play a key role building payment systems that move money across Latin America in milliseconds. We process XXM\+ transactions monthly. Your code will directly impact millions of users making cross\-border payments easier. Requirements: * 10\+ years of professional experience as a Lead/Backend Engineer. * Strong experience in system architecture and solution design. * Proven experience in the Fintech industry or with payment systems, wallets, or transactional platforms. * Strong Java Skills. * Experience working with Kafka for real\-time event processing. * Strong understanding of MySQL \+ Redis, handling serious traffic * Familiarity with AWS infrastructure that never sleeps. * Effective communication skills: concise, clear, and to the point. * Fluent in English (written and spoken B2 or More) **Soft Skills That Make You Stand Out** * Resilient and adaptable in the face of ambiguity or change. * Strong team player who can collaborate effectively across time zones. * Fast thinker, proactive problem solver, and self\-starter. * Able to maintain structure and clarity in unstructured or high\-pressure environments. * Passionate about delivering impact through technology and continuous improvement. **Job Responsabilities** * Design, develop and maintain backend systems, APIs and databases. * Work closely with product teams to deliver high\-quality solutions. * Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality and performance. * Monitor and improve system reliability.
