Senior Data Platform Engineer

The Data Platform Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Shape Digital’s data is accessible, reliable, and well\-processed, supporting insights and AI/ML initiatives. As a technical pillar, they develop and maintain scalable and automated systems, with a focus on performance, data integrity, and high engineering standards. They also know when to leverage existing solutions to accelerate value delivery. **Responsibilities:** * Design and develop robust data pipelines and services that power product features and applications. * Implement scalable data structures and services, ensuring query optimization and data integrity. * Build and maintain data processing solutions using appropriate technologies for batch and streaming workloads. * Create and optimize databases, data lakes, and data warehouses, applying best practices in security and privacy. * Containerize and deploy data services to production environments using CI/CD pipelines. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to understand data needs and implement efficient technical solutions. * Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure stability and scalability. **Requirements:** * **Programming:** Strong proficiency in Python, Golang, or similar languages with emphasis on writing efficient, reliable, and maintainable code. * **Data Systems:** Deep knowledge of relational and non\-relational databases, including advanced optimization and management techniques. * **ETL \& Streaming:** Expertise in designing and implementing distributed data processing solutions using tools like Spark, Kafka, and Airflow for both batch and near\-real\-time workloads. * **Cloud Infrastructure:** Advanced experience with cloud platforms and services, containerization, and orchestration (Kubernetes). * **Data Architecture:** Ability to design comprehensive data architectures that address current needs and future scalability. * **Infrastructure as Code:** Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and GitOps practices. * **Service Design:** Experience designing and implementing resilient microservices and data APIs. * **Security \& Compliance:** Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements for data platforms. * **Language:** English proficiency; **Benefits:** * **PPR (Profit Sharing):** Possibility of extra compensation based on the company’s results, according to your performance. * **Health and Dental Plan:** To ensure your care and well\-being! * **Flexible Benefit:** Receive an amount that can be used according to your needs, including food, transportation, education, culture, and health.
