Middle Software Engineer (Java)

What You’ll Do * Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions using Java and related technologies * Build scalable, resilient, and secure applications leveraging AWS services * Implement unit, integration, and performance testing to ensure reliability * Contribute to event\-driven architectures and distributed systems * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality features * Apply engineering best practices to ensure maintainable and future\-proof code What You’ll Bring * Solid knowledge in Java for backend development * Hands\-on experience with unit, integration, and performance testing * Familiarity with event\-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ) * Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) * Experience in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) * Knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS) * Understanding of observability practices * Strong grasp of scalability concepts such as auto\-scaling, load balancing, clustering, and disaster recovery * Familiarity with principles like SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI Nice to Have * Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP) * Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) * Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, or Golang * Background in the financial sector (banks, fintechs, card companies, insurance) * Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team’s technical evolution Legal \& Hiring Information * Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more * Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions * Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
