SQL Developer

**Job Description** We are looking for a skilled ****SQL Developer**** to join our team on a 6\-month fixed contract. This role focuses on ****query development, database design, and performance tuning**** in support of our new process for managing feature states. You’ll work closely with developers and project managers to design and implement an efficient database structure in Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring fast performance, smooth data migration, and seamless integration with our application. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and optimize relational database schemas in MS SQL Server. * Write and maintain complex T\-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and transactions. * Improve query performance through indexing, execution plan analysis, and optimization techniques. * Support data migration from the current schema to the new design. * Collaborate closely with developers and project managers to align on requirements and deliverables. * Create clear technical documentation for database architecture and processes. **Required Skills \& Experience** * Strong SQL query development skills (MS SQL Server preferred, but other SQL backgrounds are welcome). * Experience with normalization/denormalization, schema design, and transactional SQL. * Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize query performance. * Hands\-on experience with data migration between schemas. * Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar tools. * Comfortable working in version control environments for schema changes. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. ****Contract Details**** * Duration: 6 months (no possibility of extension) * Rate: $45/hour * Schedule: Fully\-remote. Full\-day overlap with US Central Time required * Collaboration: Highly interactive. Daily teamwork, communication and high collaboration expected.
