Senior Software Engineer (React.js, Ruby on Rails) - OPS00038

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who can design, build, and maintain high\-quality web applications across the entire stack. This role requires deep expertise in modern front\-end development with React, paired with strong backend engineering experience in PHP and Ruby on Rails. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment, takes ownership of solutions end\-to\-end, and contributes to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, maintainability, and user impact. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable front\-end applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript * Build, optimize, and extend backend services and APIs using PHP and Ruby on Rails * Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions * Own feature development from concept through deployment, monitoring, and iteration * Improve application architecture, performance, and reliability across the stack * Write clean, well\-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews * Integrate with third\-party APIs, internal services, and cloud\-based infrastructure * Troubleshoot production issues, debug complex problems, and deliver timely fixes * Contribute to engineering standards, tooling improvements, and best practices * Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team **Required Skills and Experience:** * 5\+ years of professional software engineering experience * Strong proficiency with React, including hooks, state management, component design, and build tooling * Solid experience with PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or custom frameworks) for backend application development * Strong Ruby on Rails expertise, including ActiveRecord, background jobs, RESTful APIs, and MVC patterns * Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization * Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs * Strong Git and GitHub workflow skills, including versioning, branching, and pull request management * Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as AWS or GCP * Strong problem\-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross\-functional teams **Nice to Have:** * Experience with TypeScript * Experience with caching layers such as Redis or Memcached * Background in automated testing frameworks for both front end and backend * Exposure to DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and application logging * Experience working in fast\-moving startup environments
