Junior ETL / Data Developer

**About the Role** We are looking for a motivated and detail\-oriented Junior ETL / Data Developer to join our growing data team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background and interest in statistics who is eager to build expertise in modern **ETL processes** , **data engineering** , and **cloud\-based technologies** . You will play a key role in building and supporting data ingestion pipelines, transforming and mapping data from multiple external sources, and ensuring data quality and integrity to support reporting, analytics, and business operations. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance. * Support data integration from diverse sources (flat files, SFTP transfers, APIs, Excel, CSV, cloud storage) into centralized data lakes and data warehouses (e.g., Azure Data Lake, SQL Server). * Contribute to file downloading and automation workflows using tools like **n8n** or equivalent orchestration frameworks. * Work on data mapping and reconciliation efforts to align disparate source systems with standardized data models. * Write and maintain SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and reporting. * Apply statistical and data validation techniques to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of ingested data. * Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support reporting and analytics use cases. * Contribute to documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and best practices. * Learn and contribute to coding tasks using **Python, R, C\#, and .NET** , depending on project needs. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. * Foundational knowledge of **ETL concepts** and **data processing workflows** . * Basic knowledge of **statistics** and ability to apply it to data validation and analysis. * Familiarity with **SQL** and relational database concepts. * Exposure to **Python** or **R** for data manipulation and analysis. * **Proficiency in .NET and C\#** is **required** . * Strong problem\-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast\-paced environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Nice to Have** Hands\-on experience with one or more of the following: * Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Azure Data Lake * Amazon and/or Shopify integration * n8n or other workflow automation/orchestration tools * REST APIs and integration with external data sources * Git version control * Data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
