Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend Focused) | Remote

**Overview** We’re looking for a **Senior Full Stack Developer** with a strong backend focus who enjoys owning complex systems and turning real customer problems into reliable, scalable software. This role is for someone who cares deeply about system design, data integrity, and long term maintainability, while staying closely connected to user and business needs. What You’ll Do * Design, build, and own backend services and APIs that power core healthcare workflows. * Architect scalable and maintainable systems using Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and supporting services. * Design and optimize data models, queries, and indexing strategies with a focus on performance and reliability. * Lead backend technical decisions and contribute to long term architecture. * Implement secure authentication and authorization flows including JWT and OAuth based approaches. * Ensure system performance, reliability, observability, and graceful failure handling. * Debug and resolve production issues with a structured, customer focused mindset. * Integrate third party APIs and external systems, including healthcare related platforms. * Collaborate closely with product, frontend engineers, and operations to translate requirements into well scoped backend solutions. * Contribute to deployment strategies and support CI CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps. * Share work in progress, document decisions, and communicate clearly in an async environment. * Mentor junior engineers and raise backend engineering quality across the team. What We’re Looking For * 7\+ years of experience building production backend systems * Strong Node.js and PostgreSQL experience * Deep understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture * Experience operating systems in cloud environments.
