OAS/ Thoughtspot Reporting Developer

* Sr. OAS/ THoughtspot Reporting Developer The OAS Reporting Developer will translate business requirements into performant, user\-friendly reports and dashboards using Oracle Analytics Server. This role includes collaborating with business analysts and data engineers, building semantic models, performing unit testing, and supporting ongoing enhancements and defect resolution. Key responsibilities * Requirements Analysis: Review and clarify business requirements provided by Business Analysts; translate into technical specifications and reporting logic. * Report/Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and publish OAS dashboards, analyses, KPIs, and prompts; configure data visualizations and narrative reporting. * Data Modeling: Build and maintain semantic layers (RPD), subject areas, hierarchies, measures, and calculated columns; ensure data lineage and consistency. * ETL/Data Integration Collaboration: Partner with data engineers on data sources (Oracle DB, SQL Server, REST, etc.), performance tuning, and access controls. * Unit Testing \& Validation: Create and execute test cases; validate data accuracy, performance, and security; document results and remediate defects. * Change \& Release Management: Support enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests; follow SDLC, version control, and deployment procedures. * Performance Optimization: Tune queries, caches, aggregates, and indexing; optimize dashboards for responsiveness and scalability. * Security \& Governance: Implement row\-level security, roles, and permissions; adhere to data governance, compliance, and audit requirements. * Documentation \& Knowledge Transfer: Maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides; train power users and stakeholders. * Production Support: Troubleshoot issues, monitor jobs/usage, and respond to incidents according to SLAs. **Required Skills** * Strong SQL skills; experience with Oracle Database and typical BI data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, dimensions/facts). * Hands\-on experience with OAS RPD modeling, subject area design, and security configuration. * Experience with performance tuning and unit testing methodologies. * Experience migrating from OBIEE to OAS or integrating with Oracle Cloud data sources. * Familiarity with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica, SSIS) and CI/CD for BI deployments. * Knowledge of scripting (Python/PL/SQL) for automation. * Experience with enterprise authentication (SSO, SAML) and role\-based access. * User\-centric design and strong intuition for self\-service analytics. * Clear communication and requirement translation from business to technical solutions. * Collaboration with BAs, Product Owners, and Data Engineering. * Documentation and training for business users. * ThoughtSpot (Liveboards, Worksheets, TML), SQL, Cloud DWH (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Oracle), Git/DevOps tooling, JIRA/Azure DevOps, Excel. * Experience migrating from OBIEE to OAS or integrating with Oracle Cloud data sources. * Familiarity with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica, SSIS) and CI/CD for BI deployments. * Knowledge of scripting (Python/PL/SQL) for automation. * Experience with enterprise authentication (SSO, SAML) and role\-based access * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field * Experience Level: * 3–5\+ years building reports/dashboards in Oracle Analytics Server/Oracle BI (OBIEE).
