Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual) - Project

We are seeking a full\-time, remote **Quality Assurance Engineer** with 4\+ years of manual support experience and a background using SQL to work for our U.S. client. You will join a cohesive, experienced agile team helping to validate and launch new features on our client's platform. QA team members need to understand the needs of the customer, working with design, product, and engineers to launch the best user experiences possible. This project has a 6\-month duration with a possibility for long\-term engagement. **Responsibilities** * **Quality Driver** : Continuously push for quality across new and existing products * **Requirement Evaluation** : Understand stakeholder intent while reviewing written requirements in order to evaluate timelines and scope * **Defect Documentation** : Document defects identified using reproduction steps, which both technical and non\-technical stakeholders can understand * **Stakeholder Interaction** : Communicate with stakeholders across all departments in order to solve problems, gain a common understanding, and report progress * **Issue / Concern Escalation** : Communicate with team members and external stakeholders when issues or concerns arise that lay outside specified requirements * **Problem Solving** : Think like an end user reproducing issues on how they use the client's software * **Multi\-Tasking** : Handle many different priorities switching between tasks as needed to verify and prioritize production or business issues * **Product Ownership** : Take ownership of the product including performance and production defects while consistently improving the QA process * **Idea Contribution** : Provide input and suggestions as to how to increase team productivity, release quality, and job enjoyment * **Product Documentation** : Participate in creating clear and concise documentation of the client's software **Required Experience** * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills * 4\+ years of experience in software quality assurance * Strong experience in manual testing, back\-end validation, and data verification * Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes * Comfortable working in CI/CD environments with Agile development practices * Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries along with a good understanding of database structures * Hands\-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience reviewing logs for diagnostics * High execution mindset while balancing the risk versus costs versus timeline * Strong understanding of the user experience * Collaborate with cross functional teams to prioritize and resolve issues * Document software failures and anomalies, providing thorough detail that facilitates reproduction by developers and root cause identification * Detail\-oriented and highly organized with a proactive mindset * Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast\-paced environment * Trustworthy, team\-oriented, and transparent **Preferred Experience** * Experience with automated testing frameworks * Prior experience testing cloud\-based applications or microservices architecture **Additional Information** * Knowing your ideas are heard and matter, think big! * You get to own your job and be recognized for your contributions * Work with smart and creative people * Making mistakes is human.
