Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** to join our team. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will drive cloud solutions, foster best practices, and lead innovative initiatives to enhance our cloud and on\-premises hybrid infrastructure with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.   **Responsibilities** * Architect and implement best practices for cloud and hybrid environments tailored to our organizational needs * Develop and enforce organization\-wide policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency * Utilize modern practices such as GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for managing cloud infrastructure * Deploy and manage cloud resources, including VPC, IAM policies, GKE, KMS, VM, DNS * Perform cost optimization and implement effective FinOps strategies to manage and reduce operational expenses * Lead the migration of workloads such as VMs to containerized solutions * Create, manage, and improve documentation to ensure clarity and knowledge transfer within the team * Guide team members on technology changes and foster knowledge sharing to support skill development   **Requirements** * Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or a related field * Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, including hands\-on experience with GKE * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar * Background in implementing and managing security services like IAM, KMS, and VPC * Skills in optimizing cloud costs and implementing FinOps practices * Competency in containerization strategies, including migrating VMs to containers and working with Docker * Strong understanding of DNS configurations, load balancing, and networking principles within cloud environments * Excellent communication skills with proven ability to produce robust documentation and facilitate team knowledge sharing   **Nice to have** * Familiarity with on\-premises and hybrid cloud environments * Understanding of GitOps methodologies and their integration with CI/CD pipelines * Showcase of contributions to cloud strategy or significant optimizations in prior roles * Experience in integrating or managing DNS in a multi\-cloud setup   **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
