Job Title: Business Development Lead\- Brazil Contract: Full\-time, permanent Salary: Competitive Location: São Paulo, Brazil **We are Cambridge University Press \& Assessment, a world\-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.** **About The Role** As the Business Development Lead, you will own relationships with institutional libraries and consortia and drive sales growth across Cambridge's academic digital portfolio—including journals, open access publishing agreements (transformative agreements), eBooks, databases, and digital textbook platforms. With a primary sales focus on Brazil and the Southern Cone (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay), this role blends regional insight, cultural fluency, and trilingual communication to deliver tailored solutions, grow pipeline, and expand our presence across Latin America. In addition to direct sales responsibilities, you will lead strategic marketing initiatives for Latin America—collaborating with the marketing team to design and execute multi‑channel campaigns that directly support sales objectives, localising messaging and assets in Portuguese and Spanish, and supporting Cambridge attendance at key regional events and conferences. **What You'll Do** **Own revenue for your territory** and deliver against sales targets, contributing to the Americas team's goals **Grow key accounts** : nurture institutional libraries and consortia to retain and expand business **Develop markets** : identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs to inform product positioning and sales strategy **Collaborate cross\-functionally** with Sales Operations, Editorial, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Customer Services, Tech Support, and platform teams (e.g., Cambridge Core, Salesforce, SAP, Mantle) to deliver seamless experiences **Bring competitive intelligence** on platforms, pricing, and market dynamics to shape proposals and negotiations **Act as a thought partner** on library technologies, open access trends, and digital transformation in higher education **Lead LATAM marketing execution** : build and run campaigns; coordinate assets and stakeholders; support conferences/events **About You** **Education:** Degree level, or equivalent experience **Languages:** Advanced fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (spoken \& written) to lead negotiations, presentations, and marketing communications across cultures. **Library sales expertise:** Proven experience in academic publishing and digital content platforms; strong grasp of institutional procurement and funding. **International sales in LATAM:** Track record of growing sales in underserved/emerging markets; able to cultivate new institutional relationships and close complex, high\-value deals—including ministry\-level discussions in the academic domain **Marketing execution:** Hands\-on experience designing multi\-channel campaigns and localised assets; comfortable measuring and iterating for impact **Relationship management:** Skilled at working with consortia and partners (subscription agents, aggregators, discovery platforms) and collaborating across internal teams **Communication \& presentation:** Clear, persuasive storyteller able to tailor proposals to diverse stakeholders **Commercial \& analytical:** Data\-driven, organised, and solutions\-focused; thrives with high autonomy in a field\-based role **Ready to pursue your potential?
