Lead Power BI Model Developer

We are seeking a seasoned **Lead Power BI Model Developer** to take ownership of designing, enhancing, and optimizing complex Power BI models tailored to manufacturing processes. This position is tasked with evolving flat reporting structures into dimensional data models, refining and consolidating data sources, embedding transformation logic within database layers, and driving alignment with our core enterprise framework. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in advanced Power BI data modeling, DAX optimization, and query folding techniques, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and deliver solutions that directly impact business outcomes.   **Responsibilities** * Upgrade and redesign complex Power BI models, moving from basic reporting structures to robust, scalable dimensional models * Rationalize and eliminate redundant data sources to improve accuracy, efficiency, and foundational consistency * Refactor transformation logic for better performance by migrating it to database\-level processing * Work closely with enterprise data architects to align models with organizational data standards and frameworks * Consult with business stakeholders and domain experts to refine requirements for targeted analytical outputs * Implement advanced Power BI techniques, including sophisticated DAX calculations and optimized query folding * Embed restructured data models into broader enterprise solutions to enhance usability and governance * Continuously evaluate and test models to verify performance, scalability, and integration success * Maintain comprehensive documentation to enable seamless knowledge transfer and future adaptability * Act as a technical resource for resolving intricate modeling challenges during the development and operational phases **Requirements** * 5\+ years of demonstrated experience in complex Power BI data modeling with a strong record of DAX and Power Query M proficiency * At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience * Advanced understanding of query folding and database\-centric data transformation principles for improved efficiency * Expertise in designing comprehensive dimensional data models within enterprise\-scale environments * Proven capability to evaluate and enhance model structures for greater performance, usability, and scalability * Experience delivering high\-impact analytical projects, including complex model integration into enterprise frameworks * Exceptional collaboration skills for working with technical contributors and key business partners across teams * English language skills at a Fluent or Advanced level (C1 or higher) **Nice to have** * Practical experience with Azure Data Factory to manage data pipelines and ETL processes * Proficiency in conceptualizing and producing analytical visualizations that align with strategic objectives * Familiarity with advanced visualization and storytelling techniques to extract and communicate actionable insights   **We offer** * International projects with top brands * Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers * Healthcare benefits * Employee financial programs * Paid time off and sick leave * Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses * Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000\+ courses * Global career opportunities * Volunteer and community involvement opportunities * EPAM Employee Groups * Award\-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
