Software Engineer

At Fidelis we are seeking a skilled and versatile C\# / Go Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on building and optimizing backend systems with a strong emphasis on high availability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in C\# or Go development, proficiency in OpenSearch, and a deep understanding of SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, particularly in high\-availability and scalability contexts. **Key Responsibilities** * Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using C\# (.NET) or Java or Go * Search Infrastructure: Integrate and optimize OpenSearch for efficient and scalable search functionalities * Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize application and database performance to ensure low latency and high throughput * Collaboration: Work closely with cross\-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field / experience * 5\+ years of professional experience in C\# or Java or Go development * Strong experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL * Hands\-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch * Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques for both applications and databases * Experience with containerization (Docker or Podman) * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
