One customer, one family, one community at a time. **ABOUT THIS ROLE** We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data team. If you’re passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a best\-in\-class cloud data architecture. You will help power a data ecosystem driven by 280 million annual visitors across our web and app platforms, leveraging an enterprise\-grade, event\-based stack to unlock limitless possibilities. In this role, you’ll have the freedom to design and build robust data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and create meaningful business insights that accelerate product innovation and growth. If you also excel at API design and cloud\-native services, this is the perfect opportunity to make an impact. **ROLES \& RESPONSIBILITIES*** Design, develop, and maintain high\-performance API services to meet diverse data requirements. * Build and manage robust ETL pipelines in Python, leveraging **AWS ECS** for real\-time processing and **AWS Glue** and **Lambda** for batch workflows. * Build and manage real\-time data pipelines using **AWS Kinesis Data Streams** and **Firehose** for efficient ingestion and delivery to target destinations. * Own, design, build, and maintain real\-time and batch ML pipelines supporting end\-to\-end ML lifecycle. * Develop infrastructure and tooling for continuous integration, testing, deployment, and retraining of ML models. * Administer raw and curated datasets in **AWS S3** to support scalable data lake architectures. * Provide **AWS Athena** tables to enable advanced querying and analytics for serverless data insights. * Create and maintain relational databases and tables on **AWS RDS** (PostgreSQL) and **AWS Athena** to support scalable data solutions. * Design and implement data models to support efficient storage, retrieval, and analytics across structured and unstructured datasets. * Implement and operate feature stores, model registries, and orchestration frameworks for reproducible ML workflows. * Deploy and serve ML models in low\-latency and high\-throughput production environments using containerized microservices. * Monitor system health and performance using observability tools such as **AWS CloudWatch,** **Grafana**, and **Datadog**. * Implement best practices in cloud\-native development, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code with **Terraform**, collaborating with DevOps team * Optimize all components for cost efficiency, performance, reliability, and security. * Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and System Engineers to deliver data\-driven solutions. **POSITION REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. * At least 2 years of practical experience in Data Engineering, and Machine Learning including the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and workflows. * Proficiency in **Python**, with demonstrated expertise in both object\-oriented and service\-oriented programming paradigms. * Familiarity with **PySpark** for distributed data processing and scalable ETL workflows on **AWS Glue** is an added plus. * Strong command of **SQL**, data warehousing techniques, and management of both structured and unstructured datasets. * Hands\-on experience with **AWS Glue**, **Lambda**, **S3**, **Athena**, **RDS** **Aurora PostgreSQL**, **DynamoDB**, and **ECS**. * Experience with MLOps frameworks and tools * Experience maintaining **GitHub** repositories, including overseeing branching strategies and collaborating closely with DevOps teams on code merges. * Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as **Docker** and **Docker Compose**. * Comfortable operating within an Agile framework, utilizing **Jira** for project management and sprint planning. * Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, with proven experience engaging effectively with internal stakeholders. * Knowledge of cloud security best practices, and compliance frameworks. * Nice to have: Strong understanding of privacy requirements, data security protocols, and regulatory standards. **PERKS \& BENEFITS*** Medical \& Dental Coverage (Co\-payment model) * Life Insurance Policy * Daily Food Allowance: R$ 48/day * Commuter Subsidy (only for those who go to the office) * Corporate Phone * Work From Home (WFH) * Language Learning Support * Fitness \& Wellness Subsidy (Wellhub/Gympass Ria Money Transfer is an equal opportunity employer.
