Backend Engineer

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills, tackle new challenges and help transform the workplace for millions of users worldwide. **Responsibilities** * Design, code, build and maintain major backend components and services for the product offering * Architect and design robust, resilient and maintainable solutions in an Agile environment * Build flexible APIs that adhere to internal guidelines and support microservices for public consumption * Develop new features involving AI and backend technologies * Ensure the quality of delivered software * Deploy and operate services in production, including availability for on\-call support * Ensure scalability and availability of backend services * Collaborate with product owners and user experience designers to deliver features within deadlines * Assist with firefighting, root cause analysis, rollbacks and immediate bug fixes in production **Requirements** * 2\+ years of engineering experience in the software industry * Knowledge of Java, Python, NodeJS and technologies such as SpringBoot, Kafka and PostgreSQL * Experience architecting, building and testing scalable microservices * Experience designing, implementing, deploying and operating software and systems in production environments * Background in working in agile environments with CI/CD processes * Interest in using AI to assist with coding * Ability to lead and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance * Good communication skills * Passion for well\-crafted software **Nice to have** * Familiarity with React
