Lawson Developer

**Role Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled **Lawson Developer** with extensive experience in the **AS400 (IBM i)** environment. In this role, you will be the backbone of our retail operations, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical Lawson ERP modules especially Retail accounting/finance. You will bridge the gap between legacy stability and modern retail demands, ensuring our inventory, financial, and supply chain systems run without a hitch. * **Application Development:** Design and code enhancements for Lawson S3 or M3 modules using **RPG (III, IV, ILE, Free Format)** and **CL** on the IBM i platform. * **System Integration:** Develop and manage interfaces (API, EDI, FTP) between Lawson and third\-party retail systems, such as Point of Sale (POS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and E\-commerce platforms. * **Database Management:** Maintain and optimize **DB2/400** databases, ensuring data integrity across high\-volume retail transactions. * **Troubleshooting:** Act as the Tier 3 support for Lawson\-related issues, performing root\-cause analysis on batch jobs, job streams, and system bottlenecks. * **Modernization:** Assist in migrating or modernizing legacy green\-screen processes into web\-based or GUI environments using Infor modern tools (e.g., Infor OS, Ming.le). * **Technical Documentation:** Create and maintain detailed technical specifications, system maps, and disaster recovery procedures. **Required Technical Skills** * **Core Languages:** Mastery of RPGLE (ILE), SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2 SQL. * **Lawson Expertise:** Strong functional and technical knowledge of Lawson/Infor financial suites (specifically **Procurement, Inventory, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger** ). * **OS/400 Proficiency:** Deep understanding of IBM i operating systems, Work Management, and Job Scheduling (e.g., ROBOT/SCHEDULE). * **Integration Tools:** Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and XML/JSON for retail data exchange. * **Reporting:** Proficiency with Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI) or Crystal Reports.
