QA Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong expertise in test automation and quality practices to help us deliver reliable, high\-performing software. In this role, you will remain hands\-on with testing while collaborating closely with development teams to improve product quality from the earliest stages of the SDLC. You will contribute to test strategy, support sprint planning activities, and help optimize our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex testing challenges, driving continuous improvement, and working in a highly collaborative engineering environment. **Responsibilities:** * Design, build, and maintain automated tests across web and API platforms. * Contribute to test strategy, coverage analysis, and risk assessment for product releases. * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging GitHub Actions to improve reliability and feedback cycles. * Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to ensure quality is embedded early in development. * Collaborate with software engineers to implement shift\-left testing practices and improve testability. * Perform thorough code reviews for test scripts and promote best practices in automation. * Investigate defects, identify root causes, and partner with engineering teams on preventive solutions. * Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and processes that enhance testing efficiency. * Develop and maintain technical documentation related to testing frameworks and processes. **Requirements:** * 5–7 years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on automation. * Proven hands\-on experience building or enhancing automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar. * Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub Actions. * Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript). * Solid experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) and related tools. * Experience participating in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming. * Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, and defect management. * Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross\-functionally. * Demonstrated problem\-solving skills when debugging complex application issues. * Must be located in Latam. **Nice to Have:** * Experience with performance or load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling, Locust). * Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. * Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). * Knowledge of security testing fundamentals or tools. * Experience testing microservices or distributed architectures. **Benefits:** * Work remotely Monday \- Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends) * Vacation: 10 business days a year * Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year * Company Holidays: 5 Company Holidays a year (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Zipdev Day) * Parental Leave * Health Care Reimbursement * Active Lifestyle Reimbursement * Quarterly Home Office Reimbursement * Payroll Deduction Purchase Plans * Longevity Bonus * Continuous Learning Bonus * Access to Training and Professional Development Platforms * Did we mention it's REMOTE?!!
