Lead Data DevOps Engineer with AWS Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data DevOps Engineer skilled in AWS to steer our cloud data infrastructure initiatives. You will be responsible for leading the architecture, improvement, and secure scaling of our cloud\-based data platforms while mentoring your team and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. Join us to influence the future of our data\-driven solutions and help deliver impactful projects. **Responsibilities** * Lead architecture, deployment, and continuous enhancement of scalable AWS data infrastructures including ECS, RDS, Athena, Glue, S3, and Redshift * Design and implement Infrastructure as Code automation using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation * Collaborate with data engineering teams to build and optimize performant data pipelines using Python and AWS Glue * Establish best practices for managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline * Drive system improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud\-based data platforms * Assess and integrate modern data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow and Apache Spark on AWS EMR * Lead incident resolution and root cause analysis for critical AWS infrastructure issues * Implement advanced IAM policies, encryption techniques, and security compliance measures for data systems * Manage capacity planning, resource optimization, and cost control across data platform services * Mentor engineers at all levels and act as the technical lead on AWS data infrastructure matters * Work with leadership to define technology roadmaps and prioritize major initiatives * Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement **Requirements** * Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or DevOps with a focus on cloud infrastructures * At least 1 year of leadership experience in technical teams * Expert programming skills in Python for automation and workflow optimization * Advanced SQL skills for handling complex datasets * Extensive experience with AWS data services including Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena, and S3 * Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation * Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline * Practical experience with distributed data processing tools like Apache Spark and orchestration with Apache Airflow * Strong Linux administration and container orchestration knowledge including Docker and AWS ECS/EKS * Deep understanding of cloud networking protocols and troubleshooting within AWS environments * Expertise in deploying and managing data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka * Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities * Fluent English communication skills (B2\+ level) **Nice to have** * Experience with other cloud providers such as Azure or GCP and hybrid cloud architectures * Familiarity with statistical analysis and visualization tools such as R, Tableau, or Power BI * Knowledge of advanced CI/CD platforms and configuration management * Background in secure hybrid cloud and on\-premises environment design * Hands\-on experience with Kubernetes management on AWS EKS/ECS
