Senior Backend Engineer - Agentic AI Systems (m/w/d)

Our platform already streamlines the candidate journey: from application to interview in under 15 minutes. We’re now expanding this into an agentic recruitment platform, powered by **LLMs, multi\-agent systems, and event\-driven backends** . This is a **senior, backend\-first role** for engineers who **take full ownership of systems** and care most about **shipping working software into customers’ hands\-fast** . **What We Actually Care About** * Ownership – You design it, build it, ship it, run it, improve it. * Speed with Purpose – Quick delivery, tight feedback loops, continuous iteration. * Working Software – Deployed, used, and improved based on real customer behavior. * Signal over Noise – Architecture, tools, and process exist only to support delivery. Everything else is secondary. **What You’ll Do** Backend \& Platform Engineering (Primary) * Own backend systems end\-to\-end using Python and Django * Design clean, pragmatic architectures that evolve as the product evolves * Build and maintain event\-driven systems (Celery, queues, async workflows) * Make fast, informed trade\-offs to get features into production quickly * Operate what you build: reliability, performance, observability Agentic AI Systems (Core Responsibility) * Design and implement agentic architectures using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks * Build stateful, multi\-step, and multi\-agent workflows * Implement planning, orchestration, memory, and tool use * Integrate agents with backend services, queues, and external APIs * Turn experiments into production\-grade, customer\-facing systems Collaboration \& Delivery * Work in short, outcome\-driven cycles * Collaborate closely with product and frontend, without hand\-offs or silos * Take responsibility for getting things live, not just “done” * Continuously improve systems based on real\-world usage **What We’re Looking For (Non\-Negotiable)** * Senior\-level backend engineering experience * Strong backend design and system architecture skills * Solid experience with Python and Django (or equivalent) * Experience building event\-driven systems (Celery or similar) * Hands\-on experience with LangChain and LangGraph (or similar agentic frameworks) * Experience designing multi\-agent and/or stateful AI systems (commercial experience not required; personal projects are valid) * Proven ability to take full ownership of systems in a startup environment * Strong bias toward shipping quickly and iterating in production * Comfort with ambiguity, incomplete specs, and evolving requirements * Fluent English, both written and verbal \> If you prefer well\-defined tickets, long design phases, or optimizing for theoretical elegance over delivery, this role is **not** a fit. **Benefits** * Competitive Compensation * Fully Remote \& Flexible working hours * High Trust, High Ownership * Real Agentic AI in Production * Small Team, Big Impact If you’re the kind of engineer who hates half\-finished ideas, who would rather ship something imperfect **this week** than debate it for a month, and who feels personally responsible for the systems they build once they’re in users’ hands, this is for you.
