Senior Platform Software Engineer - Python/AWS

We are seeking a **Senior Platform Software Engineer specializing in Python and AWS** to join our Developer Experience team. In this role, you will architect and deliver enterprise\-scale platforms, internal APIs, and automation tools that drive developer productivity and operational excellence across identity management, financial reporting, CI/CD infrastructure, and observability systems. **Responsibilities** * Design and implement enterprise chargeback and cost allocation systems with data collectors, report generators, and delivery mechanisms integrated with platforms such as GitHub, Slack, PagerDuty and Docker * Build and maintain internal APIs using Python and FastAPI, establishing deployment patterns, monitoring standards and comprehensive documentation * Develop identity and access management solutions integrating Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) and organizational hierarchy data * Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives including CI/CD workflow migrations, GitHub Actions automation and AWS Lambda deployments * Create and enhance developer tooling such as cookiecutter templates, GitHub Copilot instructions and browser extensions to improve team productivity * Implement observability solutions using New Relic for monitoring, alerting and log management across distributed systems * Drive code quality initiatives and establish enterprise\-wide standards for maintainability and consistency * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to integrate systems including Snowflake, SonarQube, PagerDuty and ServiceNow * Maintain Terraform infrastructure\-as\-code for AWS resources including Lambda functions, ECS services and S3 storage **Requirements** * 3\+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency * Experience building and deploying REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask * Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, ECS and S3 * Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure\-as\-code development * Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows * Familiarity with containerization using Docker and container orchestration * Understanding of identity management systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra and SSO * Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, particularly New Relic * Strong testing practices with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage * English proficiency at B2 level or higher **Nice to have** * Modern Python tooling experience with uv, bumpver, Black or pytest * Background in developer experience, platform engineering or internal tooling * Experience with GitHub Enterprise administration and webhook management * Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms * Knowledge of PagerDuty for incident management and on\-call workflows * Experience with SonarQube or similar code quality platforms * Understanding of structured development methodologies such as GitHub Spec Kit
