Senior Backend Engineer

We are driving a major technology transformation to modernize our platforms, accelerate innovation, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. **About The Role** We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can design and deliver scalable, secure, and modular front\-end systems that align with our technology transformation strategies. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to build strong customer\-facing applications and modernize our legacy interfaces by building modular, scalable micro front ends using modern technologies. These systems are designed to be highly available, resilient, easy to maintain, and developer\-friendly. **How You’ll Make An Impact** * Lead the design and development of modern front\-end solutions, with emphasis on Angular, micro front ends, and deep integration with the data layer. * Drive iterative modernization by decomposing monolithic UIs into shared, modular micro front ends. * Build reusable UI components and capabilities aligned with product\-centric domain models. * Contribute to architectures that power seamless, high\-performance user experiences. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes, not just features. * Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices. **Experience You'll Bring** * Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud\-ready micro front ends and responsive applications using Angular. * Integrate directly with the data layer and APIs to enable real\-time insights and dynamic customer experiences. * Apply platform\-thinking approaches by building reusable and discoverable UI libraries and capabilities. * Ensure quality from the start through automated validation (unit/e2e testing) and CI/CD pipelines. * Partner with product and architecture teams to ensure front\-end systems are decoupled, scalable, and SaaS\-mature. * Proactively tackle technical debt while balancing modernization and customer value delivery. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. * Experience in software development, with a specific focus on Front End development and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks. * Expertise in Angular and its core principles (components, directives, services, dependency injection). * Strong problem\-solving skills in the software engineering domain. * Experience designing and building micro front ends and modular UI architectures. * Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with complex backend data layers. * Strong knowledge of state management (e.g., NgRx, RxJS) and asynchronous data handling. * Comfort working with JSON, XML, YAML, and other interface file formats. * Experience with Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines. * Demonstrated ability to decompose systems into modular, reusable services or components. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams. **Nice to Have** * Experience with FinTech solutions or payments ecosystems. * Cloud experience (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) relevant to hosting front\-end assets. * Familiarity with other modern UI frameworks (React, Vue.js) to support migration or interoperability strategies. * Understanding of AI/ML integration in user interfaces. * Experience with large\-scale, high\-traffic customer\-facing applications. **What Makes You a Great Fit** * You embody our engineering principles: API\-first, modular, iterative, and data\-driven. * You thrive in modernization work, making legacy systems more agile. * You value finishing and delivering over just starting. * You see engineering as a way to unlock business outcomes, not just write code. * You champion quality, automation, and reusability in everything you build.
