You will work closely with cross\-functional teams to design, build, and maintain innovative applications and platforms that drive business success and improve patient outcomes. **Primary Responsibilities:** * Platform Development: Spearhead the development and optimization of our EHR platform using PHP/Laravel, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. * Database Development: Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes * API Development and Integration: Develop and maintain APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless integration with other healthcare systems and third\-party services. * Security Compliance: Ensure the platform's compliance with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA, by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and data protection protocols. **Additional Responsibilities:** * Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in backend development, code review, and team collaboration. * Stay abreast of new technology trends and evaluate their application to continually innovate and enhance the platform. * Participate in the agile development process, contributing to sprint planning, stand\-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of high\-quality software. * Collaborate with the design team to refine the platform's user interface and experience, implementing responsive and intuitive front\-end functionalities using modern JavaScript frameworks. **Competencies/Requirements:** * Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel and MySQL. Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git. * Experience: At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining scalable web applications.
