React Front-End Web Developer

ReciMe is a recipe app revolutionizing how cooks organize, plan and shop their recipes. Our smart importing tool enables users to aggregate all their recipes in one platform within seconds \- whether those recipes came from an Instagram video, recipe blog or grandma’s recipe box. To date, over 100M recipes have been saved to ReciMe by our 10M\+ users. Now, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Front\-End Web Developer to join our small team! This role starts out as a contract but has a strong likelihood of becoming a full\-time role. **Key Responsibilities:** * Build and ship high\-quality features for our Next.js web application. * Contribute to achieving feature parity with our mobile apps while ensuring strong performance, SEO, and web\-native UX best practices. * Integrate with internal and external APIs (e.g., Contentful, backend services), managing data fetching strategies across SSR and client\-side rendering. * Optimize application performance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals to support user acquisition and growth. * Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks. * Write clean, maintainable, and scalable TypeScript code following modern frontend best practices. * Collaborate closely with design, product, and mobile teams to deliver polished end\-to\-end features. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in web development. * Strong proficiency in React and Next.js. * Experience working with TypeScript in production applications. * Solid understanding of modern CSS and responsive design (experience with Tailwind CSS is a plus) * Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data. * Experience with Git and agile development methodologies. * Understanding of web design principles and guidelines. * Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and web performance optimization * Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. * Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. * You have a keen eye for detail, and are dedicated to developing pixel\-perfect pages * *Bonus: Any prior startup experience or willingness to take on ownership and wear many hats in a startup.* **How to Apply:** To apply for this role, please put in your application in this Google Form and we will get back to you.
