Back End Software Engineer

What You’ll Do * Develop and enhance backend services using Java * Build modern, high\-performance APIs using Quarkus * Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions * Implement automated testing (unit, integration, performance) * Work daily with AWS services * Develop in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) * Contribute to event\-driven architectures (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ) * Support observability initiatives including logging, metrics, and tracing * Follow engineering best practices focused on code quality and maintainability What You Bring * Hands\-on experience in Java backend development * Knowledge of Quarkus * Experience with unit and integration testing * Strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS * Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, ECS) * Understanding of scalability concepts (auto\-scaling, load balancing, clustering, disaster recovery) * Basic understanding of observability (logging, metrics, tracing) * Knowledge of SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles Nice to Have * Experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform * Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) * Experience with .NET Core, Python, Kotlin, or Go * Background in financial services, fintech, or payments * Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and proactive contributions to technical improvements * English proficiency is a strong plus Legal \& Hiring Information * Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more * Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions * Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
