Systems & Automation Developer - Brazil

**Role:** Systems \& Automation Developer **Location:** Remote **Type:** Full\-time **Company:** Harris Media **About the Role** We are hiring a full\-time developer to build and maintain internal systems, automations, APIs, and applications that power how our company operates. The work you build will be used in production by our team and, in some cases, by our clients. You will work on: * Workflow automation * Internal tools * Integrations between platforms * Custom applications (including occasional iOS apps) * Systems that directly support operations, finance, project management, fundraising, and client delivery **Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain internal systems, automations, and integrations * Create and manage custom workflows between tools (e.g., meeting transcripts → Jira tickets) * Configure and extend Jira workflows to match real operational needs * Build and maintain APIs and backend services that move data between platforms * Develop systems to generate and customize large volumes of emails or messages using structured data * Build internal dashboards, utilities, and operational tools used by staff * Develop occasional client\-facing applications, including iOS apps * Implement AI\-assisted tooling where appropriate (e.g., LLMs, automation, data processing) * Write clean, maintainable, and well\-structured code * Make sound technical decisions and document systems at a practical level * Maintain and improve existing systems over time, not just ship one\-off solutions * Occasionally assist with maintaining, updating, or troubleshooting websites built in WordPress and Webflow when needed **Technical Requirements** * Have the ability to evaluate algorithmic complexity and system performance implications to make efficient architectural decisions * Know how to code well (this is not a no\-code or low\-code role) * Have experience building backend systems and APIs * Be comfortable working with real production data * Understand how to design maintainable systems, not just quick hacks * Be able to debug, refactor, and improve existing code * Work independently with high ownership * Working knowledge of WordPress and Webflow sufficient to make updates, fixes, and minor enhancements when required * English proficiency (B1 level or higher) **Preferred experience (not all required):** * JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, NodeJs or similar backend languages * REST APIs, webhooks, background jobs * Integrations with tools like Jira, Google Workspace, CRMs, email platforms, etc. * iOS app development (Swift or equivalent) * Working with AI/LLM APIs in real applications * Strong understanding of security principles and data\-handling best practices * Experience supporting or maintaining production websites in WordPress and/or Webflow Job Type: Full\-time Application Question(s): * Do you have professional experience building and maintaining backend systems, automations, or APIs used in production? * Which of the following best describes your coding experience?
