Mid-Level Java Developer

**Senior / Mid\-Level Java Developer** **(Spring Boot \| Microservices \| AWS – Nice to Have)** **Role Overview** We are looking for a strong Java Developer to join a backend team working in a modern microservices\-based architecture. This role requires solid hands\-on development experience using **Spring Boot** , a strong testing mindset (JUnit, Mockito), and familiarity with code quality enforcement (SonarQube). While we are open to candidates with 3\+ years of experience, preference will be given to professionals with 5\+ years who can contribute independently and uphold strong engineering standards. **What We’re Looking For** We are looking for strong contributors who: * Can work independently with minimal supervision * Understand clean architecture and best practices * Have a disciplined testing mindset * Prioritize code quality and maintainability * Can onboard quickly and deliver value **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot * Build and maintain RESTful APIs * Implement clean, scalable, and maintainable backend code * Write comprehensive unit tests (JUnit \+ Mockito) * Contribute to integration testing strategies * Ensure code quality and compliance with SonarQube standards * Integrate backend services with third\-party systems * Work with secure connections and certificates when required * Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies * Collaborate with Angular frontend developers **Architecture \& Environment** * Java\-based backend * Spring Boot framework * Microservices architecture * RESTful APIs * Code quality enforcement via SonarQube * Unit and integration testing practices * Integration with third\-party services * Basic certificate\-based authentication handling * Cloud exposure (AWS preferred but not mandatory) **Required Technical Skills** * 3\+ years of professional Java development (5\+ preferred) * Strong experience with Spring Boot * Experience working in Microservices architecture * Solid understanding of REST API design * Experience with JUnit and Mockito * Experience with integration testing * Familiarity with SonarQube and code quality metrics * Experience with relational databases * Understanding of secure communication and certificate\-based integrations * Experience working in distributed / nearshore teams **Nice To Have** * Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.) * Experience with Docker and containerized deployments * CI/CD pipeline exposure * Experience with event\-driven architecture * Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT) **Engineering Expectations** * Strong coding fundamentals * Test\-driven mindset * Code quality awareness * Experience working within defined budgets and timelines * Ability to start and contribute quickly * Strong communication skills in a distributed environment **Aditional Information** * Location: Hybrid (region of Campinas). * Work hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time (EST). * Advanced English is required. **Why build your carrer at Meta?** We offer autonomy, clear goals and a dynamic and challenging environment, where professionals have the opportunity to interact with different technologies, participate in all types of projects, bring new ideas and work from anywhere in Brazil and (why not?) anywhere in the world.
