Senior Fullstack Developer (Next.js / Node.js / Microservices)

**About The Opportunity** We are looking for a **Senior Fullstack Developer** to help design, develop, and optimize **scalable web applications** within our Technology and Application Development team. In this role, you will work with **Next.js, Express.js, and modern cloud technologies** within a **microservices\-based architecture** , applying **Hexagonal Architecture principles** and modern software engineering practices. As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in **leading technical decisions, ensuring high\-quality and maintainable code, and implementing best practices** such as **SOLID principles, Domain\-Driven Design (DDD), and Clean Architecture** . You will collaborate closely with **Product Managers, Project Managers, QA engineers, and other developers** to deliver business features that drive **product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction** . **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high\-performance web applications. * Build clean, modular, and testable code using TypeScript across backend (Node.js / Express.js) and frontend (Next.js / React). * Architect and develop microservices\-based solutions following Hexagonal Architecture principles. * Design and optimize relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Firestore) databases, ensuring efficient data modeling and performance. * Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and event\-driven architectures to enable seamless communication between services. * Apply software engineering best practices including SOLID, Clean Architecture, and Domain\-Driven Design (DDD). * Collaborate with QA engineers and Project Managers to ensure solutions meet product and technical requirements. * Monitor and support CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring of other developers. * Optimize performance, scalability, and security across the entire application stack. * Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development processes. * Maintain and enhance existing services and application functionalities to ensure reliability and user satisfaction. **Required Qualifications** * 5\+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer. * Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js. * Experience building modern web applications with Next.js and React. * Solid understanding of microservices architecture and Hexagonal Architecture. * Experience designing and managing relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases. * Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns, including SOLID, Domain\-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Clean Architecture. * Experience working with event\-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. * Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to lead technical discussions. * Ability to work collaboratively with cross\-functional teams and manage development timelines. **Nice To Have Skills** * Experience with additional technologies such as Python or GraphQL. * Knowledge of serverless architectures in GCP (Cloud Functions, Firebase, etc.). * Hands\-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Experience optimizing high\-load or high\-performance applications. * Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation. * English level B1 or higher. * Strong leadership, attention to detail, integrity, and self\-management skills. * Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities. *Avenue Code reinforces its commitment to privacy and to all the principles guaranteed by the most accurate global data protection laws, such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA and CPRA.
