Senior NetSuite Developer & System Administrator (USD 5-5.5K/month CONTRACTOR)

**Type:** Full\-time / Long\-term contractor **Location:** Remote **Rate:** USD 5,500 / month **English Level:** C1 (mandatory — interviews and daily work in English) **Experience:** 5\+ years of proven, hands\-on NetSuite experience **Background:** Strong finance and accounting domain knowledge required We are looking for a senior NetSuite Developer and System Administrator with a strong finance background and proven experience leading end\-to\-end NetSuite projects. This is a cross\-functional ownership role: you will design, build, and maintain NetSuite customizations while serving as the internal platform authority for Finance. We need someone who can proactively identify improvements, lead solution discussions with stakeholders, and manage delivery with consistency and accountability. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Design and implement NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2\.0/2\.1 (User Event, Client, Scheduled, RESTlet, Map/Reduce). * Build and maintain SuiteFlow workflows, SuiteBuilder configurations, saved searches, and reports. * Manage NetSuite administration across production and sandbox environments, including roles, permissions, custom records, fields, system settings, and environment governance. * Translate finance and accounting requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions across areas such as GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and multi\-subsidiary setups. * Lead NetSuite projects end\-to\-end, including scope definition, planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, UAT, and production release. * Apply a structured change process for platform updates, including testing, documentation, release notes, and rollback planning when needed. * Design and maintain integrations between NetSuite and third\-party systems using SuiteTalk REST/SOAP, RESTlets, CSV imports, or middleware tools (e.g., Celigo, Dell Boomi). * Ensure platform quality, security, and control by maintaining clear documentation, reviewing permissions carefully, and flagging risks that may affect financial operations or reporting integrity. * Communicate proactively with Finance and technical stakeholders, manage status independently, and surface blockers or delays early. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 5\+ years of proven, hands\-on NetSuite experience as both a developer and administrator (verifiable project history or references required). * Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, including GL, AP/AR, revenue recognition, and general GAAP/IFRS awareness. * Proficiency in SuiteScript 2\.0/2\.1, SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder. * Strong experience with SuiteAnalytics, including saved searches, workbooks, and reporting. * Demonstrated experience leading NetSuite projects from scoping through delivery. * Experience building or supporting NetSuite integrations using APIs, CSV imports, or middleware. * Strong stakeholder communication and delivery discipline. * Financial background (studies, experience, certificates, etc) **NICE TO HAVE** * NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, or SuiteCloud Developer) * Experience with multi\-subsidiary, multi\-currency, or multi\-book environments * Exposure to middleware platforms such as Celigo, Dell Boomi, or MuleSoft * Familiarity with SuiteCommerce or SuitePeople * Experience presenting technical solutions to non\-technical Finance stakeholders * Exposure to Oracle NetSuite AI / advanced analytics capabilities **WHAT WE VALUE** * Finance\-first thinking: you understand the business impact behind every platform decision. * Ownership: you manage delivery and follow through without constant supervision. * Precision: NetSuite changes have financial consequences, so you work carefully and document clearly. * Proactive communication: stakeholders should not need to chase you for updates.
