About Stellar Stellar Home Maintenance partners with REITs and large property management companies to deliver residential maintenance services across the country. Our 1099 contractor network handles everything from plumbing and HVAC to electrical and general maintenance — coordinated through a proprietary operations platform built on Rails and a Flutter mobile app used daily by contractors in the field. The Role We're looking for a versatile developer who can own both sides of our product: the Rails backend that powers our operations platform, and the Flutter mobile and web app used by our contractor base. You'll work across the full stack — building APIs, improving data flows, and shipping features that contractors use every day on job sites. This is a hands\-on role with real ownership. You'll collaborate closely with operations, product, and the engineering team to scope and ship work that matters. What You'll Do * Build and maintain features in our Flutter contractor app — iOS, Android, and Flutter Web * Design and implement RESTful APIs in Rails to support mobile app functionality * Work within our Rails backend * Collaborate with our data team on BigQuery integrations and Metabase reporting * Participate in code review, write tests, and maintain documentation * Debug production issues and improve performance across mobile and backend * Contribute to architecture decisions as the product scales What We're Looking For * 4\+ years of Flutter development with shipped apps on iOS, Android, and/or Web * Solid Ruby on Rails experience — you can navigate a mature codebase, write clean migrations, and design sensible APIs * Comfortable with REST APIs and integrating mobile clients with backend services * Familiarity with state management patterns in Flutter * Working knowledge of PostgreSQL * Experience with Git and standard CI/CD workflows Nice to Have * Background in field service, logistics, or property management software What We Offer * Competitive salary and equity * Fully remote — work from wherever you do your best work * A real product used by real people in the field every day * Small team, high ownership, minimal bureaucracy -
