If you are based in São Paulo or Porto Alegre, you are welcome to work from one of our offices on a flexible schedule. ****The Opportunity**** **TELUS** Digital seeks **Senior AI Engineer** with deep expertise in **Conversational AI** , **Natural Language Processing (NLP)** , **Generative AI** , and **cloud\-native ML systems** and strong **Leadership Skills** . This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical execution, product impact, and cross\-functional leadership. You will lead **end\-to\-end AI solution development** —from initial requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment to model deployment, visualization, and storytelling. You’ll work with cutting\-edge **LLMs** , design production\-grade **NLP systems** , and deploy scalable AI applications on the **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** . This includes leveraging tools like **Vertex AI** , **Dialogflow** , **Kubernetes (GKE)** , and **vector databases** to build secure, high\-impact solutions. **Responsibilities** * Own the full AI solution lifecycle: gather requirements, define success metrics, prototype models, validate results, and deploy solutions to production. * Build and optimize vector search and retrieval\-augmented generation (RAG) systems, leveraging vector databases for advanced GenAI applications. * Architect and operationalize ML workflows using Vertex AI, GKE, and related GCP tools. * Build secure and scalable web applications or AI interfaces using frameworks such as Streamlit, Dash, Gradio, Flask, or similar tools for end\-user interaction and insight delivery. * Develop clear, audience\-specific visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex AI outcomes to technical and non\-technical stakeholders. * Champion ML best practices, including governance, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and reproducibility. * Mentor junior team members and lead technical reviews and architectural discussions. * Engage regularly with product owners, domain experts, and executive stakeholders to align AI solutions with strategic objectives. **Qualifications** **Leadership \& Collaboration** : * Demonstrated success leading technical projects, cross\-functional collaboration, and mentoring team members. * Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders at all levels—technical and business alike. **Programming \& ML** : Advanced Python proficiency and deep experience with libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers. **NLP \& GenAI and Conversational AI** : * Expertise in classical NLP tasks: text classification, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, topic modeling. * Experience with LLM fine\-tuning, prompt engineering, and deployment of Generative AI systems. **Cloud Platforms** : * Hands\-on experience with GCP, including Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, Dialogflow, and GKE. * Familiarity with cloud architecture, security best practices, and cost optimization. **Vector Database Proficiency** : Designing and implementing solutions using vector search engines and embedding stores. **Visualization \& Storytelling** : Ability to transform data insights into compelling narratives and clear visuals using tools such as **Looker** or equivalent. ****Why TELUS Digital?**** At TELUS Digital, you'll work with world\-class brands like FOX, HBO, PepsiCo, and Domino's, building transformative digital products that impact millions.
