Cloud System Engineer

**Are you ready to write your next chapter?** With proven technology, we process the largest volume of payments in the world, driving the global economy every day. **About the role** As a **Cloud \& DevOps Engineer** at Worldpay, you’ll be at the forefront of building and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross\-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and performance. **What you will be doing** * Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines * Manage source control using Git and implement branching strategies * Troubleshoot build and deployment issues across environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PROD) * Analyze system and network performance, proactively resolve issues * Optimize Linux\-based systems and automate tasks using Bash and Python * Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, S3, ELB, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.) * Architect and deploy microservices in cloud environments with high availability and fault tolerance * Configure and troubleshoot network components (CIDR, NAT, VPCs, firewalls) * Establish secure cloud environments and manage cloud data storage * Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies * Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible * Monitor cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch, Nagios, and Grafana * Automate deployments and configuration management using Ansible or Puppet * Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes (EKS/OpenShift) * Collaborate with development and operations teams for seamless code integration and release * Set up and maintain monitoring dashboards (Grafana, OMS) * Provide infrastructure status reports and plan for future capacity **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 5–8 years of experience in Cloud and DevOps roles, preferably in AWS environments * Strong expertise in Linux, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration * Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems * Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) * Familiarity with Kafka, OpenShift, and scalable transactional systems * Excellent problem\-solving and communication skills **What we offer you:** A career at Worldpay is more than just a job.
